Real stories, real impact
“One of the most rewarding milestones in my journey of working in digital was completing the AWS Cloud Practitioner qualification under the Get Cloud Certified programme. This deepened my understanding of cloud computing principles and gave me the confidence to explore more advanced cloud technologies and their practical applications in the workplace.”

Hi Martin, I work at Red Hat and I strongly recommend learning the basics for using Hashicorp solution.
Pity I cannot participate to this training initiative.
Wish you and your team mates a successful experience.

Hi, I don't see the courses from RedHat in the list of courses? They were the ones I was most interested in.
Comment by Jonny Williams posted on
Hi Mervi, if there's a course you can't see on red.ht/gettechcertified then please scroll down to the bottom of the page and reach out to us and we'll find a way to help out!

Can you please clarify if the date of 31 December 2025 is an end point to register for learning, or do you need to have completed your learning before 31 December 2025?
Comment by Martin posted on
Hi Jon, you can continue any learning beyond 31st December, however, if your chosen learning path warrants a certification, you will need to apply for your free certification voucher prior to 31st December in order to get it free as part of this initiative, hope that helps

Hi there - may I confirm whether this is open to staff at academic higher edcuation institutions incl universities?
Comment by Martin posted on
Hi Ruth, as long as your organisation is classed as a public sector then yes, you are in-scope for this learning & certification initiative

Hi Martin,
If I register for Microsoft/AWS/Google learning via my work email, can you confirm whether I’d be guaranteed a certification voucher upon completion, or are these allocated on a limited or first-come basis?
Comment by Martin posted on
Hi Olivia, thanks for reaching out, and well done for taking advantage of so much of this learning. I'm highly confident that if you apply for a certification voucher from the 3 vendors you've chosen before the 31st December then you'll be allocated a free certification voucher. However, please don't delay, apply for a voucher as sooner rather than later.

Would it be possible to register for more than one course?

Hello there, can civil servants outside of the UK Civil Service access the learning?
Comment by Martin posted on
hi Alanna, please can you write to us at ggettechcertified.gov.uk to explain your circumstances and I'll be happy to look into your situation a little further and see what we can do, thanks

Can I enrol in two courses from different providers and still receive certifications from both?

Hi Sahan, you can take advantage of more than one vendors offer of free training and a certification voucher yes.

Is there a plan to continue this sort of opportunity next year?
Comment by Martin posted on
Hi Waqar, although there isn't anything planned officially as yet, this is our 3rd year running this, albeit on a much wider scale this year, so I'm confident we'll be returning for a fourth year next year, thanks

IBM have come back to me and advised the FinOps with IBM course is fully booked for this year, but the team running the Get Tech Certified Programme were not informed.
Comment by Martin posted on
Thanks Gareth, we’re delighted that this course has been so popular but unfortunately, due to demand, this means all available places on the courses have been filled already. The IBM team are in discussions about alternatives”, watch this space for further updates

Hi, this is a great initiative. However, I can't find any reference to obtaining vouchers on any of the materials. Looking to book a certification exam, but I need to pay. Assuming I must be able to obtain a voucher code for this?
Comment by Martin posted on
Hi David, if you reach out to us at gettechcertified@dsit.gov.uk with some further details on which vendor/course you're attempting to claim a free certification voucher for we can look into this and advise further
Comment by Ayomide posted on
This is an amazing opportunity! I'll love to know if the voucher is 50% off the exam certification fee or a full waiver. Thank you!
